Froch defeats Rybacki

Coming into the ring at nearly midnight, Carl Froch gave us a small glimpse as to why 4 opponents turned down big money to come face The Cobra at the Trent FM arena last night.
Albert Rybacki, a Polish visitor on short notice, was took apart with little effort by the Nottingham hero whom barely got out of first gear.
From the opening round, Froch began landing sizzling power shots from different angles as the Pole gulped for air and tucked up tightly. With an array of straights, hooks and a couple of uppercuts, The Cobra asserted himself from the opening bell.
Working behind a solid jab, Froch landed left hooks to head and body, with the occasional overhand right which landed with thudding accuracy. Rybacki tried to get his own shots off at first, but soon retreated into his shell as Froch started to warm up.
Round 2 began with Froch pausing and looking, seeing if he could find a big shot to punish Rybacki, who in turn seized the quiet spell to launch his own shots at the Cobra. But towards the end of the round Froch launched into a huge assault which momentarily put Rybacki through the ropes.
Round 3 began with some great work from Froch, putting 3 and 4 punch combinations before landing a flush uppercut right at the end of the round which sent the Pole reeling to the ropes.
Round 4 seen Froch pile more misery onto Rybacki, with hard combinations which had him running for cover - and at 2.35 of the round, the referee John Keene had seen more than enough and saved the Pole from a further hiding than was necessary.
Carl now moves to 23 wins with 19 ko's.
